Re: What is the ratio of government and private jobs offered for mechanical engineers Mechanical engineer's are all over India working for both public and private sectors. So, we cannot give an exact ratio for it because a mechanical engineer can survive anywhere like even in a software field also. Mechanical engineers can work in NTPC/Singareni's/Railway Sector/BHEL etc. In private filed then can work for any Motor companies or then can go for teaching field or can set up their own business. |

Re: What is the ratio of government and private jobs offered for mechanical engineers I don't think so Ratio will be mentioned between Government and private sector in Mechanical because mechanical is very popular branch in Engineering. That's why there are lots of opportunities both and as well as government or private sector. In simple words there should be no ratio predefined by government or private. |

Re: What is the ratio of government and private jobs offered for mechanical engineers There is no such predefined ratio of private sector and government sector jobs for candidates of mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineering is the evergreen branch of engineering with lots of career opportunities in both government and private sector. For example after completion of bachelor's degree, you can apply for the GATE exam for jobs in various PSUs like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, ONGC, IOCL etc. You can also apply for the Indian Engineering Services, Civil Services, Combined Defence Services etc. In private sectors, you can apply for the jobs in Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, TCS, Ford Motors, Hyundai etc. |
