YES, you are eligible to apply for the MCA course.

Educational qualifications required to apply for the MCA is:
Graduation pass in any stream
Candidates should have studied mathematics in Class 12th.

MCA is a post Graduation level 3 years course.

MCA refers to Master of Computer Application and same is a master degree with a very good career scope in software world.

The minimum educational qualification required for pursuing MCA degree course is a graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Further, Mathematics as a main subject is required at the higher secondary school level or graduation.

Since, you have mentioned that you have pursued Mathematics at your higher secondary school degree level so you are eligible for pursuing MCA degree course.

MCA is Master in Computer Application and it is two year duration course. The required qualification to appear for entrance examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

Candidates with Mathematics as main paper in 10+2 are eligible to appear for examination.

You are not eligible to appear for NIMCET, IIT JAM entrance examination but can appear for entrance examination conducted by private universities.

The full form of MCA stands for Master of Computer Application.

Eligibility criteria for MCA course.

1. You must have done bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, science, computer applications etc to become eligible for MCA course.

2. Mathematics is necessary at 12th level to become eligible for MCA course.

You can apply for NIMCET and IIT JAM exam to get admission in MCA course.

MCA or Master of Computer Application is a postgraduate Information Technology course. To do this course one has to have the following eligibility:

- Any graduate who has passed or appearing for the final degree examination in any discipline (Science/Commerce/Arts/Engineering or any approved university equivalent degree) is eligible to apply

- Candidate must have Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 level of study.

So, yes you can do MCA course after your B.SC general degree course.

Am I eligible for MCA after completing B.Sc Genarel graduation?

Am I eligible for MCA course after completing B.Sc Biology. I had maths in 10+2 standard but in graduation level I had no maths but I had computer science, zoology and botany. Am I eligible for MCA course with these subjects in graduation?
