Re: In which entrance exam we have to appear for getting government schools Teacher job? There are entrance exams like Teacher Eligibility Test and Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Candidate should have done either Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Education to become teacher in government school. The minimum academic qualification required for TET exam is bachelor's degree in any discipline plus bachelor of education. |

Re: In which entrance exam we have to appear for getting government schools Teacher job? For recruitment as teacher in government schools you are required to qualify TET ( Teacher Eligibility Test ) such as CTET or State TET. Further, as far as you are concerned about the compulsion of B.Ed ( Bachelor of Education ) for getting government teacher job then yes it is compulsory in case you want to be eligible for becoming a teacher of secondary or senior secondary school along with primary school. Apart from B.Ed you can even go for D.Ed ( Diploma in Education ) degree but in this case you can apply in TET for becoming teacher upto Class VIII only i.e; primary school. |

Re: In which entrance exam we have to appear for getting government schools Teacher job? Since you are interested in becoming a teacher in government schools then for that you need to qualify TET ( Teacher Eligibility Test ). Basically, TETs are of two kinds. One is CTET ( Central Teacher Eligibility Test ) which is held by CBSE for recruitment of teachers in Centrally funded government schools like KV, JNV, etc. and another one is State TETs which is held by the concerned state board for recruitment of teachers in schools funded by the concerned state government. Further, I would also like to mention one thing here that for appearing in any of these TETs additional degrees like D.El.Ed ( Diploma in Elementary Education ) or B.Ed ( Bachelor of Education is compulsory. |

Re: In which entrance exam we have to appear for getting government schools Teacher job? The acronym B.Ed stands for Bachelor of Education. It is a teacher training course and has become compulsory for teaching jobs. Even if you have done D.Ed then also, you can apply for teaching jobs. The name of entrance exam is Teacher Eligibility Test. Graduates with B.Ed course can apply for this examination. |
