Re: When to start taking coaching for IAS after 12th sci? You are a 12th pass out, you have plenty in time in hand to start preparation. First you have to take admission in graduation, as it is the minimum qualification for IAS exam. You can start preliminary type preparation in first year like reading newspaper, magazines, yearbooks, make good reading habit. There is an essay exam in civil services exam, so you need to improve writing skills to get good marks. Write at least one essay a week to make a habit. Take part in literacy club of your college. These thing will go a long way in grooming your communication and writing skills. You have to opt for two subjects for Mains exam in civil services exam, one of which you can take of your graduation subject. Preparation for this can be done in final year, as no need to do it now so early otherwise you will forget what you learnt now. You also have to take a graduation carefully, as selection is not guaranteed in civil services exam, you need some backup in case you not get selected. I would like to tell you that you must start preparing for your exam just after passing your 12th standard because it is better to prepare for any exam right from 12th standard that will help you to clear the exam with ease. So, you should take coaching side via side. |

Re: When to start taking coaching for IAS after 12th sci? Coaching is helpful in guide you and making you familiar with syllabus of Civil Services examination. The best strategy is to join coaching in first year of preparation then revise in second year and practice previous years question papers and mock test in final year of bachelor's degree and appear for the exam. The minimum age limit is 21 years to apply for the exam. |

As you have just taken admission in graduation, so you can start preparation of IAS exam when you are in 3rd year of your graduation. Re: When to start taking coaching for IAS after 12th sci? I.A.S is Indian Administrative Service and for recruitment you have to appear and qualify in all stages of Civil Service examination. The examination is conducted by UPSC every year. The examination is among the toughest examination so you have to do the better preparation to qualify for examination. So according to me since you are going in bachelor degree first read all the NCERT books from Std VI-XII by own and starting reading The Hindu or The Indian Express newspaper. When to start taking coaching for IAS after 12th sci? I have recently completed my 12th science papers I want to be IAS officer so I think that I complet BA after 12th and join coaching classes is the classes are helpful for my study ? with the help of coaching classes can I crack my goal |
