Civil Service Examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted every year.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed or appearing for the final year examination.

So, you cannot apply for the examination. But if you want to achieve your goal you have to prepare for examination with dedication, determination and devotion.

The examination is conducted in three stages :

Preliminary.
Mains.
Interview.

Candidates have to qualify in each stage of examination for final selection.

You do not have the sufficient qualification to appear for Civil Service Examination. It is conducted by UPSC.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that :

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

Candidate's age must be between 21-32 years.

But you can start preparing for the examination as according to syllabus. The most fundamental and important for Civil Service preparation is start reading NCERT books ( Std VI - XII ).

The examination is conducted in three stages and candidates have to qualify for all the stages for final selection. For more details regarding examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

To become a District Collector in future, you will have to qualify Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year.

For Civil Services Exam, you must have completed graduation in any field, then only you can appear for Civil Services Exam.

There are three stages to clear Civil Services Exam i.e.
  • Preliminary Exam (CSAT Exam)
  • Main Exam
  • Personal Interview

Qualified candidates of Preliminary Exam will only be allowed to appear for Main Exam.

Then, qualified candidates of Main Exam will be called for Personal Interview.

To become a District Collector, you need to clear the different stages of UPSC Civil Services Examination. The Recruitment has following 3 stages :

Now coming to the eligibility to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

>> You need to have a Graduation Degree in any Stream.

>> Your age should be 21-32 Years for a general category students, Age relaxation applicable for reserve category candidates.

The application for the examination is done online and advertisement for the same is issued in Employment Newspaper and in UPSC website too. The number of seats varies every year.

Since you are in 11th standard, first of all focus on your 10+2 exam and then complete your graduation in the stream you are interested to. You will have option to choose two subjects for the main examination so study the subject you have interest so that you may choose those for the main exam as optional subjects.

Hello, I have scored 98% marks in my 10th standard from CBSE Board. My aim is to become a District Collector. So, I would like to know about the steps through which I can become a District Collector. Right now I am studying in 11th Science from same Board.
