UPSC conducts entrance exam for CID.you have to clear entrance exam first,after cracking this examination you will join in IPS(Indian Police Service). After that you will promoted to CID post according to your performance. Qualifications required are:----------- Degree of an recognized university or equivalent Age Limit: 20-25 years.. civil services examination is conducted in two stage one is preliminary and other is main examination. |

Joining CID is through CGPE i.e Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam which is Conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Board) Every Year. This Exam is held Once a year which is in the Month of February. Hi dear, Crime Branch CID (Criminal Investigation Department) is a specialised wing in many state police forces in India of their Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Other branches of the CID are State Crime Investigation Bureau Finger Print Bureau and Scientific Section. To join in CID you need to write the EXAM conducted by UPSC...!! Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recruits Police personnel through the Civil Services Examination in three level (IPS cadre) State Public Service Commissions and by the District Police Headquarters. Some of the police personnel selected via either of these routes are appointed by the CID on a regular posting if they have the requisite aptitude. No separate notifications are issued for recruitment to the CID. Qualifications: Degree of an recognized university or equivalent.... Age Limit: 20-25 years.. for that you need to have good physical strength also like any armed force.. Thanks |

Eligibility Education Requirements: Many Indian universities offer both undergraduate and Post Graduate courses in Criminology. While the basic requirements for getting admission into an undergraduate course is kept as a pass at XIIth standard with either Arts or Science background, for Post Graduation one has to be a graduate with science or arts subjects. Training Programmes: Degree and Post Graduate courses in Criminology/Criminology and Correctional Management/ Criminology and Forensic Science are offered by various institutions in India. Degree holders can also opt for the one year diploma or two year postgraduate diploma course in Criminology. There are also specialized courses in criminology for those who have graduated in Law. Syllabus: The syllabus for a course in Criminology usually includes - Principles of Criminology, Psychology of Crime, Criminal Law, Police Administration, Forensic Science and Medicine, Juvenile Delinquency, Correctional Management and Rehabilitation of Criminals etc. |
