Re: Age criteria to write SSLC exam in March 2017?

My grandson's dob is 23-04-2014. He is to be admitted to LKG in June 2017. Reportedly he will have to repeat any one of the classes from LKG to Xth to be eligible to sit for the Xth class CBSE in state of Kerala to meet the minimum age for writing the Xth exam. Is it correct? Can anybody confirm or enlighten us?

Re: Age criteria to write SSLC exam in March 2017?

The minimum age for you to apply for the SSLC exam 2017 or any other year ahead is 14.
The maximum age is 16.
Also you must have turned 14 years old latest by the first day of the month in which the exam is to be conducted.
These exams are conducted thrice an year and so you may not worry about age that much at all.

Re: Age criteria to write SSLC exam in March 2017?

SSLC stands for "Secondary School Leaving Certificate". You will got SSLC certificate only after successfully completion of 10th standard. You have to fulfill the age criteria designed by CBSE to appear in SSLC exam.
You must be at least 14 years old to write SSLC under CBSE(Central Board Of Secondary Education). As you have already fulfilled the age criteria, so you are eligible to write SSLC exam in March 2017.

I am sorry to say but your daughter is not eligible for SSLC exam because the age criteria for this exam is 14 years and 6 months in March of that academic year. But your daughter can give this exam next year. Thanks.

She is completing 14 years on 09.01.2017. Is she eligible to write the sslc exam to be held on March 2017?

The pupil should have completed the age of 14 years on the first day of the month in which the examination is to be conducted.

So, as you have said that she will be completing age of 14 years on 9th January 2017. So, yes she is very much eligible to sit for SSLC examination which will take place on March 2017.

Re: Age criteria to write SSLC exam in March 2017?

SSLC stands for Secondary School Leaving Certificate. Candidates who are pursuing 10th standard in the academic year 2016-17 are eligible to appear in SSLC 2017 examination.

The minimum age required for the candidate to appear in SSLC examination is 14 years as on 1st of the month of the year of examination.

As per the information you have provided in your query, you will cross the age of 14 years as on 1st March, 2017, so, you are eligible to appear in SSLC 2017 examination.
