Yes of course.

You are Eligible for Civil Service Examination.

The Age should between 21 - 30 Yrs as on august 1st of the year of Examination.
  • Maximum 33 yrs Relaxation for OBC candidates.
  • Maximum 35 yrs Relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
  • Maximum 4 attempts for General candidates.
  • Maximum 7 Attempts for OBC candidates.

And You should have a Graduate degree from a Recognized University.

Hi,

The age limit for participating in IAS civil exam is 21-30 years as on

1st August of the year. So this year only you are eligible for writing civil service

exam. And for your kind information the following attachment shows you the

age relaxation.

The age related criteria and attempts are as follows-
*For general category-21-30 yr. on 1st july of exam year.
Attempts-4
*For OBC Candidates-21-33 yr.
Attempts-7
*For SC/ST candidates-21-35 yr.
Attempts-No attempts regulation upto 35 yrs.

The candidate should not be less than 21 yrs. of age & more than 30 yrs. as on 01.07.2011. The upper age is relaxed for SC / ST / OBC categories. ..

OBC:
up to a maximum of 3 years.

Seven attempts of OBCs.

Hii,

The limit of the apper in the Civil exam is max. 30 years but as per your statement you belongs to the OBC Criteria.
so for the condition the max. age limit is 35 relextation of 5 years ..

so that you are egilible foe that exam.......

As per the civil service age eligibility criteria given below,
you are eligible for Civil service examination only if you have reservation,
as you are 29 years old , and will be 30 years just after 24 days.


Age eligibility:-

- Candidate age must be in between 21 years and not more then 30 years.
- upper age limit is calculated up to August 1 of year of examination...

Age Relaxation

SC/ST: - up to a maximum of 5 years.

OBC: - up to a maximum of 3 years.

No of Attempts:-

SC/ST :- no limit.

OBC:- 7 times.

General :- 4 times .

Civil services exam is conducted by UPSC in every year. To appear in the

Civil Services exam you must need the following eligibility Criteria.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification for appear in the Civil Services

exam is graduation in any stream from a recognize University.

The final year graduation student are also eligible for this exam.

Age Limit :

The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appear in the

examination.

Age Relaxation:-

-> For SC/ST candidate upto 5 years on the upper age i.e the age

must be between 21 to 35 years.

-> For OBC candidate upto 3 years on the upper age i.e the age must

be between 21 to 33 years.

As you are belong to OBC category then according to eligibility criteria

you are eligible for Civil Services exam.

Age limit for civil service exam is:

General category:
candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

SC/ST:
up to a maximum of 5 years.

OBC:
up to a maximum of 3 years.

A general candidate can attempt Four times only.Where as Seven attempts of OBCs. And no limit for SCs/STs.

and yes you are eligible as for OBC the maximum age can be 33years....

Sir, my age will be 30 yrs in june-16, i was born in 16/6/1981. Belongs to bc , so am i eligible to apply for ias civil exam.
