Re: Eligibility to join Defence Services for 12th NIOS Board student? NIOS is National Institute of Open Schooling and it is a recognised board under Ministry of HRD. So, candidates are eligible to appear in defence service examination. NDA is a golden opportunity for candidates who want to join defence service after 12th. The eligibility to appear in examination is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board. For Navy and Air Force must have passed 12th in Science stream. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. Only male candidates are eligible to apply. Examination is conducted in two stages Written and SSB. So, you have to appear and qualify in both stages for final selection. |

National Institute of Open Schooling is a recognized board. NIOS candidates are eligible for NDA examination. The age criteria is 16.5 to 19.5 years. Unmarried male Indian candidates are eligible for NDA examination. |

NDA is National Defence Academy and it is conducted twice in a year. Only male candidates are eligible to appear in this examination. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. The examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. The examination is conducted for recruitment as an officer. The age limit to appear in examination is 16.5-19.5 years. Only male candidates are eligible for service. So, you can appear in examination and after qualifying in both stage of examination will become eligible for final recruitment. Re: Eligibility to join Defence Services for 12th NIOS Board student? Yes, you are eligible to join Defence Services after completion of your 12th standard. To join Defence Services, you have to appear in UPSC NDA examination. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination in any discipline from a Government recognised board are eligible to apply for NDA examination. Since, NIOS is a recognised board, you are eligible to appear in NDA examination for joining in Defence Services. |

Eligibility to join Defence Services for 12th NIOS Board student? Dear Sir, I just want to know that if I study 12th with NIOS Board then I will be able to join Defence Services? I am interested to join Defence Services but I have completed my 12th with NIOS Board. Please let me know about this as soon as possible. |
