Re: Qualification required to become an Income Tax Officer? The recruitment examination for selection in Inocme Tax department is conducted by UPSC and SSC. Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC and CGL is conducted by SSC. The required minimum qualification to appear in examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. Age limit varies for different examination and well as for different category. So, you can prepare for examination and after qualifying in the examination will become eligible for recruitment. Re: Qualification required to become an Income Tax Officer? Hello You can either appear the SSC or the UPSC exam. OR You need to be a graduate in any discipline. If you apply for SSC CGLE exam and chose ITI and clear it , you may become Income tax inspector. Soon after few years you will be promoted as Income tax officer. So basically your minimum requirement is a graduation in any case. |

Qualification required to become an Income Tax Officer:- Eligibility to be an income tax officer:- Educational Qualification:- To be eligible for becoming an income tax officer one should hold a bachelor of any steam. So as you have done BCA, you are eligible becoming income tax officer. Age:- The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have attained 27 years of age on that date. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC / ST candidates. |

Re: Qualification required to become an Income Tax Officer? To become an Income Tax Officer candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service Examination. Candidates after qualifying in Civil Service Examination will become eligible for recruitment as an I.R.S Officer. The required eligibility is that :- Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years relaxation for reserved category. Examination is conducted in three stages : Preliminary, Mains and Interview. You have to appear and qualify in examination for final selection. Age criteria Required:- @ Minimum age required - 18 years @ Maximum age allowed - 27 years You are required to appear in an entrance examination called Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates are also eligible. 2. Candidate age must be 18 to 27 years. 3. Qualification required to become an Income Tax Officer:- In order to become an officer in Income Tax Department one should hold a graduation degree. You can obtain graduation in any subject. 27 years is the maximum age limit for this. SSC exam should be attendant as part of the selection process for the post. Subject areas like GK, General Intelligence, Language skills etc will be part of SSC exam. You can apply online through SSC officer site. On clearing this exam, you can attend personal interview as well. |

Studying accounting, business administration or business law can help you succeed in this position.
