Re: Percentage required in 10th to join Merchant Navy? Eligibility for Merchant Navy:- Finishing class 12th with Physics chemistry and mathematics with minimum 50%marks. Admission through entrance exam. Definition of Merchant Navy- officers are employed by commercial Shipping companies to work on all kinds of seagoing vessels such as cruise liners cargo ships,tankers and hovercraft. |

Re: Percentage required in 10th to join Merchant Navy? The eligibility criteria to apply for merchant navy is that you must have scored 60% marks in class 12th with PCM and 50% marks in English in 10th and 12th both. |

Re: Percentage required in 10th to join Merchant Navy? To do Merchant Navy courses a candidate should belong to Science stream. Candidates should score required marks in 10+2 in a recognized board to join Merchant Navy. In Merchant Navy there are different departments Aspiring candidate should not less than 60% in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths in Higher secondry. In English cadidate must score at least 50% These are the eligibility to apply for Merchant Navy. |

Re: Percentage required in 10th to join Merchant Navy? Secondary board passed candidates are eligible for General Purpose Rating officers. The essential requirements are: You should have passed tenth from a recognized board with science and mathematics as compulsory subjects. You need to have minimum of 40% marks in board exam. The age criteria is 17.5 years and 25 years. Unmarried candidates are eligible to apply. |

Re: Percentage required in 10th to join Merchant Navy? In order to join Merchant Navy it is necessary to complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. B.Sc in Nautical Science is a course designed for Merchant Navy, the qualification required for studying nautical science in 10+2 with PCM with minimum 60% marks. After that Marine Engineering is a course to join Merchant Navy, the qualification here required is also same. Entrance exam is required for admission in Marine Engineering. Both Nautical Science and Marine Engineering are direct entry in Merchant Navy and requires PCM in 10+2. Hence, it is required hat you study 10+2 with PCM now in order to join Merchant Navy in future. |
