It is conducted in three stage and after qualifying in all the stage you will become eligible for recruitment as an I.P.S Officer. The name of exam is Civil Services examination. Eligibility criteria: 1. You must have done bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. 2. The age limit for Civil Services examination is 16.5 to 19.5 years. 3. Unmarried male candidates can apply for exam. |

So, you are eligible to appear in examination after the bachelor degree in Physics. It is three year course. Eligibility criteria for Civil Services exam: * Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. Final year graduation candidates can also apply for exam. *The age criteria is 21-32 years. You can apply for exam in final year of bachelor's degree. |

The examination is conducted in three stages. Candidate pursuing in final year of bachelor degree or passed the bachelor degree are eligible to appear in examination. To join Indian Police Service i.e; for becoming an IPS officer, you need to qualify the Civil Services examination held by UPSC once every year. --> For appearing in the Civil Services examination, the minimum eligibility criteria required are as following :- * You must be an Indian citizen. * Your age must lie within 21 years to 32 years. Age relaxation is allowed for reserved category candidates as per the government norms. * You must have completed your bachelor's degree or should be in the final year of your bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. * You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms for joining IPS wing of the Civil Services.
