Re: Upper and lower age limit to apply for UPSC-IAS recruitment? I.A.S is Indian Administrative Service. The age limit to appear for Civil Service is :- General - 21-32 years. OBC - 21-35 years. First thing I would like to let you know that the official name for UPSC IAS recruitment examination is Civil Services examination which is held by UPSC once every year. Further, the age criteria for appearing in the same examination is 21 years to 32 years by the 1st August of that year in which the examination is being conducted. OBC category: 21-35 years. 3. SC/ST: 21-37 years. Physically handicapped candidates get ten years upper age relaxation. |

Re: Upper and lower age limit to apply for UPSC-IAS recruitment? Civil Service Examination is conducted in three stages and one must have to qualify in all three stages for final selection. The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years. The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a reecognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years with relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category. Examination is conducted in three stages and you have to appear and qualify in all stages for final selection.
