B.Tech through lateral entry is a valid degree and hence candidates with qualification are eligible to appear in the examination for recruitment as SO. The required stream in B.Tech varies with different post. So, kindly visit www.ibps.in to get detail about the SO post for which you are eligible. The age limit is 20-30 years with relaxation in upper limit for reserved category. |

Re: Eligibility to apply for IBPS SO recruitment for Lateral BTech graduate? IBPS SO stands for Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection Specialist officer. Lateral entry bachelor of technology is a valid course. Job aspirants who have done bachelor's degree in lateral entry mode can apply for IBPS SO exam. You can apply for IT officer IBPS SO exam. |

Yes, candidates passed bachelor degree in technology after lateral entry are eligible to appear for Specialist Officer recruitment examination. Candidates after qualifying in all the stages of the examination will become eligible for final selection. The age limit and required stream in bachelor degree varies with different recruitment post. The academic qualification required to apply for SO is Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Computer Science, Information Technology etc. Lateral entry B.Tech candidates from a recognized university are eligible for this exam. The age limit is 20-30 years for general category candidates. Last date to apply for 2018 recruitment is 26th November, 2018. |
