Re: Is it possible to appear for 12th exam from NIOS directly after passing 10th board exam? The full form of NIOS is National Institute of Open Schooling. You will have to register for board exam in 11th standard then only you can appear for exam in 12th. You can not directly appear for 12th board exam after 10th standard. |

You can apply as a private candidate. Degree from NIOS is also valid in every university for pursuing further degree courses. |

The existing norms will not permit you to appear for Class XII examination directly without appearing for Class XI. You would have to take admission in Class XI at NIOS, select your subjects, register yourself with the board, appear for the Class XI examination and then get promoted to Class XII. There after will be eligible to appear for the final boards. |

You will have to register for board examination in 11th standard from any board. Direct applying for 12th board exam is not possible. |

Candidates passed 10th are eligible to get admission in Std 11th and to appear for board examination later. The minimum duration between appearing for 10th and 12th board examination is two year. So, you are not eligible to appear for 12th board examination in very next year after appearing or passing 10th board examination. |

Eligibility for NIOS Senior Secondary/Class 12th - You must have passed class 10th from a recognized board. - Your age should be at least 15 years. Admission Dates Admission will be available in two sessions : Block I and Block II and remains open throughout the year. Block I : March to July Block II : September to January |

Is it possible to appear for 12th exam from NIOS directly after passing 10th board exam? I have completed my 10th board exam from state board. Now, is it possible to appear for 12th exam as a private candidate from NIOS without appearing for 11th class? |
