Re: what are the reqyirements for iit exams? The current requirement for it is you must hav escored atleast 60% aggregate in 12,but it is expected till you complete your class 12 the eligibility criteria will be increased. However,it is just expectations leave it. First of all concentrate on your class 10 score well in it,because if you does'nt score well in it you wont get science in 11. As soon as you take admission to 11 it is advice to join a good coaching institute like-FIITJEE,Career point, brilliant tutorials etc.And prepare well for it. If you are interested in prepareing for it just from now, then join 3 years long class room programe which is offered by above mentioned institutes. They will not only prepare you for future IIT-JEE ,but for all entrances including your board exams. Re: what are the reqyirements for iit exams? Dear Friend , There are not such requirements that you require in order to set your self eligible for IIT exam . The things that you have to fulfill if you want to appear in IIT Exam are : * You must have completed your 12th from any recognized board with a minimum of 60% marks . * Appearing students are also eligible for the exam. * You are only allowed for two consecutive attempts for this exam. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: what are the reqyirements for iit exams? http://jee.iitm.ac.in/eligibility.phpDon't worry about your percentage. It is 60% but you are thinking it to be 80%. Only 60% percentage is required to appear in IIT-JEE exam. Other eligibility criteria for IIT-JEE exam is as follows: Eligibility for IIT-JEE 2012 Candidates must make sure that they satisfy all the eligibility conditions given below for appearing in IIT-JEE 2012: Date of Birth General (GE) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1987. Those born earlier are not eligible to appear in IIT-JEE 2012. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and those with Physical Disability (PD) must have been born on or after October 1, 1982. SC/ST/PD candidates born before October 1, 1982 are not eligible to appear in IIT-JEE 2012. The date of birth as recorded in the high school/first Board/Pre-University certificate will be accepted. If the certificate does not mention the date of birth, a candidate must submit along with the application, an authenticated document indicating the date of birth. Year of Passing Qualifying Examination (QE) To appear in IIT-JEE 2012, a candidate must have either passed the QE for the first time, on or after October 1, 2010 or appearing for the first time in 2012. Those who are going to appear in the QE later than September 30, 2012 are not eligible to appear in IIT-JEE 2012. The year of passing the QE will be determined based on the examination he/she passed the earliest out of the qualifying examinations listed below. In case the applicant passed more than one QE or attempted successfully same QE more than once, the year of the first successful QE/attempt will be used to determine the eligibility for IIT-JEE 2012. The qualifying examinations are listed below: The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized central/ state Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. H.S.C. vocational examination. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3 year duration. Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). In case the relevant QE is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level. Minimum Percentage of Marks in QE Candidates belonging to GE and OBC categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in QE. SC, ST and PD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in QE. The percentage of marks awarded by the Board will be treated as final. If the Board does not award the percentage of marks, it will be calculated based on the marks obtained in all subjects listed in the mark sheet. If any Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the equivalent marks, and submit it at the time of counselling / admission. In case such a certificate is not provided the decision taken by the Joint Implementation Committee (JIC) of IIT-JEE 2012 will be final. |

Re: what are the reqyirements for iit exams? HI, Percentage is not a criteria for cracking IIT.An aggregate of 60% is sufficient to be eligible for the exam.you need to focus more on your basics, rather than solving more number of problems.Hard work is not required to crack IIT,but instead smart work is required.whatever amount of time you may spend, you should spend it wisely.you should have a well-planned schedule of the subjects to be prepared. all the Best, GOUTHAM. |

Re: what are the reqyirements for iit exams? 60%-plus in 10+2 with PCM, many people wrote this. But know, my friend, that this is not the only thing that will take you to IIT.You have to get the correct books to score well in the IIT exam. Here's my recommendation list Physics: Resnick-Halliday (Main book), NCERT Physics, IE Irodov (Selected problems only) Chemistry: NCERT Chem (Main book), Arihant Organic Chem, OP Tandon (Last book) Maths: RS Aggarwal, KC Sinha (Main Books), Hall & Knight Higher Algebra (Selected sections only) I hope these books will help you achieve. Nevertheless, you need to put in your hard work and sincere effort. Best of Luck |

It was going to have this rule that 80% will be the criteria in 12 class for appearing for IIT. but don't worry this bail is not passed in supreme court there fore it is not requred to score 80% in 12 for appearing IIT JEE. But the eligibility for IIT jee is 60% aggregate in 12. must have passed 12 or appearing for final exams. sorry dude you can't write IIT JEE exams but you can prepare for the same . first of all you should concentrate on your studies.because to write IIT JEE exam you must clear all your 10 -11 and 12 class. if you are more determinant and passionate then after your 10 class or at the time of 10 class you must join a coaching and prepare for it. even they will provide you study materials and they gonna guide you to the well. good luck.. |
