Re: Possibility to join Indian Army for 20 years old BCom(H) student? CDS is Combined Defence Service. It is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. The examination is conducted for selection in defence service. The eligibility to appear for the examination is that :- Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. Candidate in the final year are also eligible to appear for the examination. The age limit is 19-25 years. Examination is conducted in two stages. So, if you are in the final year you can apply for the forthcoming examination. |

Re: Possibility to join Indian Army for 20 years old BCom(H) student? Bachelor of Commerce candidates can apply for Combined Defence Services examination. Commerce stream candidates are eligible for Indian Military Academy and Officer Training Academy. The academic qualification for CDS exam for IMA and OTA is bachelor's degree in any degree from a recognized university. At age of 20 years, you can apply for both. Unmarried male and female Indian citizens. |

Re: Possibility to join Indian Army for 20 years old BCom(H) student? To join Indian Army being a 20 years old B.Com (H) student, you have to appear in CDS examination who is conducted by UPSC. To be eligible to appear in CDS examination, for should have passed Bachelor’s degree course in any discipline from a recognised university. You should be an unmarried male candidate and should be in the age range of 19 to 24 years to be eligible to apply for CDS examination for joining in Indian Army. |

Candidates passed bachelor degree have opportunity to join India Army as an officer but only after qualifying in the CDS examination. It is conducted in two stages. The two stages are :- Written and SSB. The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. For recruitment as Clerk or a soldier in Indian Army you will first have to appear and qualify in the physical test and then for the written examination. The notification for the entry will be published in newspaper. |

The minimum required qualification is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The upper age limit is 25 years. The examination is conducted in two stages and candidates have to qualify in both stages for final selection. The two stages are :- Written. SSB. Possibility to join Indian Army for 20 years old BCom(H) student? Hi Sir/Madam, I am already studying in BCom(H) and I am 20 years of age. Now, I want to join Indian Army. So, Is it possible for me to join Indian Army at this age? Please help me to know about this as soon as possible. |
