Admission in universities or institutes offering B.Sc. in Agriculture course is done basically in two modes. It is done either based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Direct Admission) or written exam conducted by the university/institution that offers the degree.

The details on how to apply for B.Sc. degree in Agriculture can be collected from the authorized website of the institution along with the information on course details and the available number of seats. The application forms can be obtained either through the college office or from the concerned web portal.


Some entrance exams conducted for admission to B.Sc. Agriculture course is as follows:

ICAR Entrance Exam (ICAR-AIEEA)- It is an agriculture entrance exam conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for admission to 15% seats in Agriculture Universities in Bachelor Degree programs and 100% seats in ICAR Deemed to be Universities and NDRI, Karnal
EAMCET- Conducted for admissions in Agriculture colleges and universities in Andhra Pradesh
PAU Entrance Exam- Conducted by Punjab Agricultural University
KEAM- Conducted for agricultural colleges in Kerala
IGKV CET- Conducted by Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya

You need not to attend NEET examination in order to eligible for B.Sc Agriculture.

The minimum qualification required to get admission in the course is class 10+2 in PCB course with more than 55% marks. Every college conduct their own entrance test to give admissions in merit base. So, you need to crack the entrance tests to get admission.

No, NEET score is not valid to get admission in B.Sc Agriculture course.

Entrance examination is conducted by various private and government institutes for admission in the course.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised with PCM or PCB as main paper. The minimum required aggregate varies with entrance examination.

No, candidates do need to appear and qualify in NEET examination for admission in B.Sc Agriculture course.

Entrance examination is conducted by various institutes for admission in the course. Candidate passed 12th in PCB or PCM are eligible to appear for the examination.

AIEEA examination is conducted by ICAR for admission in the government colleges.

I want to pursue B.Sc Agriculture. Do I need to write NEET exam for this? Is NEET compulsory? Or, is there any other entrance for B.Sc Agriculture? Please, provide details of that exam.
