The duration of B.Tech degree course in IITs is given below.

=> Four years for normal B.Tech degree

=> Five years for dual B.Tech+ M.Tech degree

=> Two years for normal M.Tech degree

As per my knowledge, No, IITs/NITs do not take lateral entry students.

The duration of any regular B.Tech degree course is four years even in case IITs similar to any other recognized technical institute.

Yes, IITs do provide lateral entry to B.Tech degree course for Diploma in Engineering degree holders through JEE (Joint Entrance Examination).

IIT is Indian Institute of Technology. It is a premier institute and candidate passed 12th are eligible to get admission in B.Tech course in the institute after qualifying in the JEE.

Course duration is 4 years.

There is no provision of lateral entry the IIT.

The duration of B.Tech degree courses are 4 years in any institutes.

To get admission in IIT to study B.Tech course, one must be eligible for this and the eligibility criteria are -
Candidate must have completed 10+2 with at least 75% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
Candidate must have to qualify JEE Main and JEE Advance both with good marks.

Eligibility to study B.Tech in IITs are -
Aspirants should have passed 10+2 with PCM subjects and secured minimum 75% marks from any recognised board.
Aspirants should have to clear JEE Main and JEE Advance both to join any IITs.

The duration of B.Tech degree course in IITs are four years which involves 8th semester for complete course.
Each year contains 2 semester exam in any stream which includes various subject and practical knowledge to the candidate.

The duration of a regular full time B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) degree course is four years and it is same in the case of IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) too.

Also, I would like to let you know that the IIT do provide admissions to B.Tech degree course through lateral entry scheme.

No, IITs do not provide lateral entry route.

The duration of Bachelor of Technology course in IITs is 4 years. In case of integrated B.Tech and M.Tech, duration is five years.
