Re: What is the duration of B.Tech degree course in IITs? The duration of any regular B.Tech degree course is four years even in case IITs similar to any other recognized technical institute. Yes, IITs do provide lateral entry to B.Tech degree course for Diploma in Engineering degree holders through JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). |

It is a premier institute and candidate passed 12th are eligible to get admission in B.Tech course in the institute after qualifying in the JEE. Course duration is 4 years. There is no provision of lateral entry the IIT. |

To get admission in IIT to study B.Tech course, one must be eligible for this and the eligibility criteria are - Candidate must have completed 10+2 with at least 75% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects. Candidate must have to qualify JEE Main and JEE Advance both with good marks. |

Duration of B.Tech degree course in IITs are - 4 years Eligibility to study B.Tech in IITs are - Aspirants should have passed 10+2 with PCM subjects and secured minimum 75% marks from any recognised board. Aspirants should have to clear JEE Main and JEE Advance both to join any IITs. |

The duration of a regular full time B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) degree course is four years and it is same in the case of IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) too. Also, I would like to let you know that the IIT do provide admissions to B.Tech degree course through lateral entry scheme. |
