Re: Admission procedures in various private engineering colleges? I passed my H.S. Exam with 58% marks. I hav got 61 chemistry, 43 in Physics and 60 in Biology. As Mathematics was my optional subject so I do not have pass mark in Math. I hav got only 10. But my wbjee ranking is 34753 & Aieee ranking is 246345. Will I get chance for B.Tech course in any private engeneering colleges in India? |

To apply for admission in these colleges you can appear for the AIEEE(All India Engineering Entrance Examination) conducted by the CBSE. The AIEEE exams result is acceptable by most of the colleges. Also, most colleges take direct admission under management quota for which you need to pay a capitation fees. For BITS, you need to appear for the BITSAT conducted by the BITS. Re: Admission procedures in various private engineering colleges? Different collages have different admission procedure and eligibility criteria. Some collages take admission through AIEEE ranking while some conduct entrance test. So go through the official website of collages whichever you want and get the detailed admission procedure there. |

Re: Admission procedures in various private engineering colleges? hi friend, you are eligible to get admission in any college in India if the over all percentage of yours in ppm 0r pmb/c/e is above 45%.Dont go on the college name or popularity.degree is a branch in which the teacher shows you the way but you have to walk alone,i mean you have to work hard to get through all the semesters of engineering.now about the fee,every college has different fees structure.so my suggestion is take your broucher,decide which college you would like to join. ALL THE BEST. |

On the basis of yor rank you are provideed college. As far as private colleges are concerned they take direct admissions aslso in some conditions without entrance exams as UPTU did this as the seats were left vaccant and also through management qouata |

Re: Admission procedures in various private engineering colleges? there are different criteria for different private colleges it also depends on your performance in 12th board exams, minimum percentage for different college is different.. some colleges conduct there own exams, some regional private colleges take admissions through state level exams, some also take through aieee. you can get the list of top 50 private colleges easily just check out there terms and condition. |

Dear Friend, For getting admission in any private college,first you should b clear your 12th with grade 60 percent,or as per college requirements. Two ways to get admission in private engg colleges- 1.Management Quota-there are few seats of management in each engg college,no need of giving entrance exam but you have to pay them a admission fees which is much larger then normal fees. 2.by giving Entrance exam of any university,like uptu(many colleges are under uptu),manipal,or any of your state entrance exam.... Forms are available at banks of main institutions at the time of there entrance exam once in a year |

The fee structure is quite high of the private colleges and placements also ok but not good than govt colleges. The application forms are mostly out after Jan every year. So keep checking their respective sites to keep yourself updated |

For SC/ST it is 45%.You have to pass AIEE or CET followed by an interview. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani; National Institute of Engineering, Mysore ; Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai;SRM University are some of the private colleges offering engineering courses. |
