As per my knowledge, you are eligible to join Indian Army with NIOS certificates but you are not eligible to join Indian Army on the basis of your 12th class. The basic eligibility required to join the Indian Army is the candidate should have passed 12th class with subjects Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board. National Institute of Open Schooling is recognized by the Indian government and has recognition & accreditation to conduct examination like any other board. You should remain confident that it is equally valid as any other board. You can certainly use your score card not only in army but also in other government and public sector jobs. You can attempt the following examination to join Indian Army:- 1)NDA : National Defense Academy 2)CDS : Combined Defense Services Your age should be between 171/2 to 21 at the time of applying for these exams. |

Re: Am I eligible to join Indian Army with NIOS certificates? NIOS - National Institute of Open Schooling is recognised by Central Government board at par with other recognised board. Yes you can apply for Indian Army with NIOS certificates. Eligibility to apply for the NDA exam is Educational qualifications:- Army wing - 12th pass in any stream Navy and Airforce wing - 12th pass with subject physics and maths as subjects. Age:- Minimum age limit is 16.5 years Maximum age limit is 19 years. Only unmarried male candidates can apply. Selection procedure :- Written test SSB interview. |

Re: Am I eligible to join Indian Army with NIOS certificates? Nios like IGNOU,is accepted by the Indian government 's education ministry. For Indian army the minimum qualification you need is 12th passed certificate in any stream . You can apply through the Upsc conducted NDA. As far as NIOS is concerned,it will neither be an impact nor an Hindrance to your getting into Indian army. |
