Re: Which course should I pursue to become a Scientist in DRDO?

Let me give you step by step procedure that you should follow after your 10th standard to become a scientist in DRDO:

1) After your 10th standard, choose science stream for your 11th and 12th. In 12th board exams try to score as much as you can. But your overall minimum percentage in 12th board exams should not be less then 60%. And you should have minimum 60 marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics individually.

2) After that you will be eligible to pursue graduation in engineering & Technology. You can take any specialisation in your B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) such as Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Metallurgy and Aeronautics.

You have to complete your B.Tech with an minimum overall aggregate of 60% marks.
3) Then you will be eligible to appear for DRDO-SET (Scientist Entry Test) entrance examination. This entrance test consists of a written examination followed by a personal interview. Written test will be of total 500 marks. There will be 150 objective type questions.

4) After qualifying in this exam you will become a scientist in DRDO.

Which course should I pursue to become a Scientist in DRDO: -

You can choose both BSc as well as BTech.
Both BSc and BTech candidates can apply for scientist and different posts in DRDO.

But the priority should be given to BTech candidates.
Because BTech is more practical related course which is more in demand and there are always job vacancies with BTech in any organisation then with a BSc course.
