Re: What is the maximum age limit to apply for lecturer post in Indian Universities and colleges To become a lecturer in Indian Universities one has to clear the NET examination. NET stands for National eligibility test and the same examination is held twice every year once in the month of June and once in the month of December by Union Grant Commission. To be eligible for the same examination you need to have qualifications given below:- * You must have the Mater's degree in any discipline with at least 55% aggregate from a recognized university. Relaxation of 5% aggregate is provided to categories other than general * There is no upper age limit for the same examination and hence there is no upper age limit for becoming a lecturer.
