But, before you become a full fledged Indian army technical soldier, you will have to go under the very tough training period of 9 months. The starting 6 months will be regular training like other trades which will include challenging physical and mental tasks and exercises. |

Certain basic entries and there basic training duration is : 1) General duty jawan:9 months 2) Technical soldiers :5 months Training in the Indian army is their respective command's responsibility. |

Re: What is the duration of Soldier Technical training for Indian Army? After selection based Marit, selected candidates have to go through training period of 9 months. First 6 months of training period will be same as other trade. After completion of this 6 months, candidates will get 1 month off and after that have to go under another 3 months training period which is regarding technical trade. During this 9 months training period, candidates will get stipend. After completion of 9 months training period, candidates will be considered as regular soldiers and get regular salary per month. Selection Stages - Physical Fitness Test (PFT) - Medical Test - Common Entrance Test (CET) Final selection will be made on the basis of written entrance exam only. |

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 1. The candidate should have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English from a recognized board. 2. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 1/2 and the upper age of the candidate should not be greater than 23 years. |
