Re: Can I do MSc in mathematics after doing BSc? Hi, Yes, After B.Sc, if you are interested in teaching field or research field, you can choose M.Sc. There will be entrance exam to get seat in M.Sc. Once you cleared and get good rank, you will get seat in your preferred college. Or you can directly contact college admin and can get management seat |

The eligibility criteria is pass with 55-60% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (any discipline) (with Mathematics as a subject) or B.Tech or B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering) or equivalent. The best colleges for M. Sc. Mathematics are: TIFR (Tata institute of fundamental research) IMSc(Institute of mathematical sciences) Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar University of Hyderabad CMI (Chennai Mathematical institute) ISI (Indian statistical institute) IISc (Indian institute of sciences) University of Calcutta St. Stephens College |

For doing Msc in mathematics your graduation must contain one subject as Mathematics which must have an equal weightage with your main subjects or it must be one of your main subjects. Different colleges have different criteria about minimum aggregates ,normally it is around 50 to 55% on an average |

The minimum qualification required to do M.Sc in mathematics is graduation in any stream with Mathematics as a subject. You must have scored at least 55% marks in qualifying examination from a recognised university. You must have an age limit of 20 years. good luck |

Re: Can I do MSc in mathematics after doing BSc? If you done maths(hons.) then your admission in MSc is done on basis of cutoff list but if you are from Bsc physics then you need to give entrance exam but in both cases you need to get more than 55%.And age limit for MSc is 22 years. |
