Re: Can I join Merchant Navy after completion of BBA? After completion of BBA you will not be eligible to apply for Merchant Navy course because in order to apply in Merchant Navy the candidate must have completed 10 + 2 with PCM stream from a recognised board. So, you have only one chance and that is to appear in NDA examination on 12th basis that is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Age limit to appear in NDA examination- 16.5 to 19.5 years. |

Re: Can I join Merchant Navy after completion of BBA? Yes, you can join merchant navy after completion of BBA as GP Rating but the work given to them isn't like officers. I am not degrading them but when someone talks about joining a navy, they expect to wear uniform and have some control over life but as cleanser it's not possible, i found few gp rating people becoming a 4th engineer but that process takes years. Mostly navy prefers engineers and 12 passed guys and then fitter, gp rating people and a cook. |

Re: Can I join Merchant Navy after completion of BBA? After completion of your BBA, you cannot apply for Merchant Navy. Merchant Navy eligibility:- You must have passed 12th with PCM as a main subject from a recognised board. In Merchant Navy, you can work as a deck officer, 2nd engineer etc. |

So, I would like to suggest you that you must appear in NDA examination on the basis of 12th standard if your age is within required age limit and that is 16.5 to 19.5 years. There is no upper age limit relaxation. |

No, You Cannot join Merchant Navy after completion of BBA:- Those candidates who have passed your 12th or an equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics from Central / State board or recognised school are eligible for Merchant Navy exam. Your age should be below 20 years. |
