First of all I want to clarify your first query about

Quote:
what are the courses offered in IITs for M.Tech for ab.tech ece student?
There are few specializations that are offered for M.Tech students in various IIT's here are a few I'm going to list have a look.

->Fiber Optics and Light Wave Engineering.

->Microelectronics and VLSI Design.

->RF and Microwave Engineering.

->Telecommunication systems Engineering.

->Visual Information and Embedded systems Engineering.

->Signal Processing.

->VLSI.

->Applied Controls

->Communication Engineering.

These are the few Specializations which are offered by IIT's not all in all IIT's but a few in few.
Mostly you will get what you desire for.

actually i want to do m.tech in only IITs but i didn't get rank in gate.so i want to try it for next year.will it be fine?
No person will get all in his first attempt. Its not only who have failed to get a rank in GATE Exam. So don't worry give your next confident attempt with proper preparation you will definitely get a rank.
Keeping aspiration to do M.Tech in only IIT's will tell us how determined you are about M.Tech in IIT's

Here itself you win. Just a one more step of clearing GATE exam will take you closer to your dream. all the very best for you attempt.

Quote:
also i want the detailed information regarding what are the oppurtunities that we get from each particular course?
First you should have a particular interest in a field then only you can excel in the field in which you are master after your M.Tech.
so first you realize your core competency.

that will give you the answer. If you are interested in VLSI then the life will be different with various opportunities in a growing country like India.

If you have a good interest in Embedded systems . The research field wants you more than a corporate area.

In this way it will depend on your interest.
Every specialization is special only . I.e., the reason why it is called specialization.

Every specialization has its own pros and cons but if you have good interest in your field then every con also looks like a pro to you.

I hope you understood how important is to know your core competency.

All the best for your future.
