The Eligibility to apply for PO exam is
- Bachelor degree qualification in any recognised university.
- Should have passed with minimum 50%
- There is no matter on which subject you had studied.

The common eligibility to appear for PO examination is that :-

Candidate must have passed or in the final year of bachelor degree.

The age limit varies with examination.

There is no limitation on discipline of bachelor degree.

So, you can appear for the examination and subject selection in bachelor degree will not effect your eligibility.

So, do preparation to qualify in the examination as per syllabus.

To apply for the post of bank Probationary Officer across in nationalized or private banks of India, the minimum education required is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Stream/Subjects of graduation degree or any degree is not considered while deciding the eligibility of a candidate for the same examination.

So, even you opt for Insurance and investment course for your B.Com 3rd year course, you will be eligible to apply for bank PO posts after completion of your graduation degree course as per your educational qualification.

No, I do not think the paper in the B.Com will affect your score or the final selection in bank PO examination.

The required minimum qualification to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

The age limit varies with examination.

Candidates need to prepare for the examination as per the syllabus of the examination to qualify in the examination.

Examination is conducted by IBPS and SBI.

Do subject selection in B.Com affects the eligibility criteria for PO exams?

I chooses Insurance and Investment in B.Com 3rd year. Does it have any negative effects on applying for Probationary Officer (PO) examination?
