To apply for Lecturer/Assistant Professor job, there is no age restriction.
But the qualification matters.
Should have a Master Degree along with that should have qualified in NET exam.
If Ph.D is there, it would be added advantage

There is no age limit for Assistant Professor and Lecturer.

The required educational qualification is that candidate must have passed master degree from a recognised university with minimum 55% aggregate.

So, candidates with master degree are eligible to appear for the examination. There is reservation as per the norms mentioned in notifications.

To be become an Assistant Professor (lecturer) of any recognised university, you are required to qualify entrance examinations such as NET/SET/SLET.

Further, the minimum education required to appearing in these examinations is a master's degree ( in your interested paper for teaching) with at least 55% marks from a recognised university. Marks relaxation upto 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved category. Also, there is no upper age limit to appear in these examinations for recruitment as an assistant professor/lecturer.

What is the age limit for Lecturer/Assistant Professor?

Is there any upper age limit to become Lecturer or Assistant Professor in Government Colleges in India? Is there any relaxation for any caste group of candidates? Is there any reservation also?
