Re: Is Biology in Intermediate compulsory to study Agricultural degree course?

No, it is not compulsory to have Biology in std 12th to pursue B.Sc Agriculture course.

Entrance examination is conducted for the admission in the course in various universities and colleges.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCB or PCM as main paper.

The minimum required aggregate to appear for examination varies with examination.

So, you are eligible to get admission in the course.

You are eligible to appear for the entrance examination to get admission in B.Sc Agriculture course after PCM in std 12th.

ICAR - AIEEA is conducted for the admission in government colleges.

It is not compulsory to have Biology in intermediate to appear for the examination to get admission.

Entrance examination is also conducted by private institutions for admission in the course.

No, you can pursue B.Sc Agriculture course even with Biology as main paper in std 10+2.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed or appearing for 12th from a recognised board. Candidate must have passed 12th in PCB or PCM as main paper.

The minimum required aggregate is 50% in 12th to appear for the examination.

You will have to appear and qualify in the examination for the admission in the course conducted by various institutes.
