Re: Is Mtech from IIT good? what's its ranking? guys i have a query ,, if u are a btech from some other colg .. not from IIT but reputated enough ... and you wanna pursue MTECH from IIT .....is it better from pursuing Btech from IIT ? is it comparable ? or Btech from IIT have more value ? |

Is Mtech from IIT good? what's its ranking? iit comes under the world top institute in the world. it comes under the top class institute of india acquired top 10 position. it really to do m.tech from iit. |

Re: Is Mtech from IIT good? what's its ranking? Mtech from IIT is really very good. Infact this is much better option than doing MS(without funding) from any top university abroad. Placement (min 6lpa-14lpa) is guaranteed provided u maintain a good CPI. faculty is very good ( min criteria for becoming faculty in IITs is phd). Almost zero investment- as you get 8k stipend per month which is enough for paying tuition fees( roughly around 9k per sem) and food- you will be left with 4.5k rs after deducting money for food and tuition fees). There is even a top-up of some 7k if your professor is willing to make you work under him for any research project going on in the campus. I know a few mtech you get 15k per month,PHD who gets 25k per month. You will get full travel expenses for presenting a paper in any conference(once in a year). overall 1. Btechs of IITs are the best 2. IITs are best for mtech & PHD |

Placements ( min 6 lpa- max 14lpa) is guaranteed provided you have a decent C.P.I. Almost zero investment because you get Rs-8000/- stipend per month-which is more than enough to pay semester fees (which is around 9k), food - u'l be left with rs 4,500 per month(after deducting tuition fees & for food). There is even a top-up of around Rs7k if your professor is willing to make you work under him for any research project- i know a few mtech guys who get rs15k per month,PHD guy who gets 25K per month.Faculty is very good ( min criteria to become faculty in IITs is a PHD from a reputated IIT or from a reputated foreign university). You will get all travel,food,living expenses for presenting a paper in any conference(only once a year,some even travel abroad). IIT's are the best institutions of the country M.tech from IITs is most sought after and it is really difficult to get admission. you need above ((percentile to get a call for Interview. even then final selection is dependent on academics and interview. |

Re: Is Mtech from IIT good? what's its ranking? My dear Friend you know where is IIT stand. It is the biggest reputed college in India.. You can not get direct admission in these colleges.. You have to give GATE exam and you have to score exceptionally well then you get any of IIT in India.. |

Re: Is Mtech from IIT good? what's its ranking? Dear Friend, Definitely IIT is the top institute for M.Tech in India. You have to take admission to the institutes through the GATE exam , to get chance in the IITs you should score more than 95 percentile. Good luck. |
