Re: Are Arts students eligible to apply for NEET exam? NEET needs these three core subjects in your 12th:Biology,Chemistry & Physics. As you are Arts student there is no touch with these subjects. Its waste of time thinking about giving NEET. If you are interested enough,so you should repeat your 11-12th with PCB and get above 50%. Otherwise focus on your stream and YOU can also make good careers as Teacher,Tutoring,History Expert etc. |

Eligibility criteria for this exam: Candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCB with minimum aggregate 50% from a recognized board. Candidate age must be 17 to 25 years. You are not eligible for NEET exam become a Arts student. |

This exam is conducted to get admission in government and private medical college. The eligibility criteria for this exam, candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCB from a recognized board. As far as you are concerned about the possibility of appearing in NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) for candidates having opted Arts stream for their Class 12th level academics then I would like to let you know that arts stream candidates cannot apply for NEET as for appearing in NEET a candidate is required to have completed his/her Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as major subjects and with at least 50% marks in PCB group subjects. As far as you are concerned about your eligibility for NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) being an arts stream pursuer in higher secondary school degree then I would like to let you know that you are not eligible for appearing in NEET your are required to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in your higher secondary school degree from a recognized board of education. Also, the minimum marks you need to secured in PCB group subjects is 50% ( or 40% marks in case of reserved category ) marks. The common eligibility to appear in examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCB from a recognised board. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA => Candidate must have passed 12th class with PCB from a recognized board. => The minimum age of candidate should be 17 years. As per my knowledge, you are not eligible to appear in NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST after 12th in Art stream so if you want to appear in NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST then you should complete your 12th class in science stream. |

Only science stream candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Biology can apply for this exam. 2. You should have minimum of 50% marks in 12th exam. Arts stream candidates are not eligible for this examination. |

NEET refers to National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and it is held by CBSE once every year for admission in undergraduate medical degree courses such as MBBS/BDS degree course across any medical colleges of India. The minimum education required for appearing in NEET is a higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks in PCB group subjects from a recognized board. Marks relaxation upto 10% is allowed for reserved category candidates. So, being a Arts stream student you are not eligible for appearing in NEET as per the required educational qualification mentioned below. Re: Are Arts students eligible to apply for NEET exam? If you have completed 12th from Arts stream then you are not eligible to appear in NEET exam. The reason is that it is compulsory to have Biology as main stream in 12th. |

For appearing in NEET examination, candidate must have 10+2 with PCB from a recognized university. But you don't worry. You can change your stream at this time because the registration for class 11th is not start. So, I suggest you if you want appearing in NEET then you can change your stream. |

To be eligible to appear in NEET examination, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects from a Government recognised board. So, being a 12th standard Arts stream student, you are not eligible to apply for NEET examination. |

But if you are interested to proceed through Medical stream then if you have Biology, Physics and Chemistry as main paper in Intermediate then only you will be eligible to apply for NEET entrance test. As you have mentioned that you are pursuing from Arts then in this condition you are not allowed to write NEET entrance test in any way. |

Are Arts students eligible to apply for NEET exam? I am from Arts stream and have recently passed the 10th board exam and scored 450 marks. My question is am I eligible to apply for NEET exam? If not, then what should I do to be eligible? I don't see much scope for Arts candidates. Please advise. |
