No upper age limit is required for the post of Assistant Officer as per UGC(University Grants Commission) norms, NET/SET examination. |

Re: Is there any age limit for Assistant Professor in government colleges? Normally, age limit for assistant professor in UGC recognised Government Universities is 21 to 40 years. You have to qualify UGC NET for getting jobs in a government Universities. There is no relaxation available for candidates who belong to reserved category. |

No, there i no upper age limit for becoming an Assistant Professor in government university through NET or SET and therefore even being 44 years old Ph. D NET qualified candidate, you are eligible for becoming an Assistant Professor. |

Age limit for Assistant professor in government colleges:- According to the UGC norms, there is no upper age limit maintained for the post of assistant professor in UGC recognised University. So there is no problem regarding the age factor. |
