To join Flying Branch in Indian Air Force, you will have to appear in any of these examinations; NDA(National Defense Services), CDS(Combined Defense services) or, AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test).

The educational qualifications required for the Flying Branch in Air Force mentioned below:-

1. Candidates must have completed their 12th standard with PCM(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) from any recognised board for NDA examination.

2. Candidates must have completed their bachelor degree in Engineering from any recognised college or, university for CDS examination.

3. Candidates must have completed their bachelor degree in Engineering/PCM from any recognised college or, university for AFCAT examination.

4. Nationality:- Indian.

5. Sex:- Male and Female(CDS/AFCAT).

6. Marital status:- Unmarried.

Having completed Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree course, you are not eligible for joining Flying branch in Indian Air force as to join Flying branch of Indian Air force on the basis of graduation degree course through AFCAT is a B.E./B.Tech. degree course (or any equivalent degree course ) with at least 60% marks from a recognized university.

So, to appear in AFCAT to join Flying branch, you are required to pursue B.E./B.Tech degree course.

Educational requirements for Flying Branch in Air Force-

- candidates should have passed with minimum of 60% marks each in mathematics and physics at 10 + 2 level and
A) graduation with minimum 3 years degree course in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

What is the educational requirement for Flying branch in Air Force?

Can I apply for Officer post in Flying branch of Indian Air Force after doing BA? If not, then what should I do to become eligible to apply for it? What is the standard minimum education required?
