After completing 10th standard. You will enter into Higher Secondary School Certificate and have to complete the 11th and 12th grades. Then only you will be awarded.

You have to select your stream in 11th standard only. So it is impossible to skip your 11th.

Unless you have a valid reason of skipping classes, the school authority will not allow you to appear in 11th standard final examination. If you will have not passed 11th standard. The school authority will not promote you in 12th standard.

If you are opting for Arts stream in 11th and 12th standard, then you can skip 11th standard and directly take admission in 12th standard.

However, if you have opting for Science or Commerce stream in 11th and 12th standard then you must study 11th standard properly. Because, most of the concepts of 12th standard are based on 11th standard knowledge.

So, it is OK to skip 11th standard if you are opting for Arts stream.

No, it is not possible for you to skip your 11th standard and directly appear for 12th board exams.
First you have to pass your 11th standard and then only you will be promoted to 12th.

No, it is not possible to appear for 12th board examination after skipping 11th standard. In order to appear for board exam of 12th, you will have to take admission in 11th standard and select stream and its subjects.

You will have to take admission in 11th standard and pass all subjects and get promoted to standard 12th and then appear for senior secondary board exam of 12th.

The eligibility criteria to appear for senior secondary board examination:

1. You must have got admission in 11th standard and registered for board examination. Subject and stream selection is done in 11th standard.

2. Students who clear all papers of 11th standard exams are promoted to 12th standard. You can not skip 11th standard and appear for 12th board examination.
