The minimum age criteria to apply for CBSE Class 10th board examination is 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which the candidate got admitted to his/her Class 10th. So, being born on 13.04.2009 and currently studying in Class 6th, your son is likely to get admitted in Class 10th in 2023 and by the 1st October 2023, his age will be over 14 years which is the minimum age required to appear in Class 10th board examination. To be eligible for appearing in 10th Board Exams of CBSE, student should have attained age of at least 14 years. Since, he will be of 14 years 2 months by that time, hence he will be eligible for Board Exams. |

CBSE stands for Central Board of Secondary Education. CBSE has not maintained any rule on age limit for admission in 10th standard. So you should have completed at least 14 years of age to appear in matriculation CBSE Board exams. There is no upper age limit to appear in 10th CBSE board examination. |

As per your calculation your son completes 14 years by the time he attends 10th examination. So there will not be any problem |

What is the age limit for 10th class as per CBSE Board in Bangalore? Hi, my son is studying in 6th class and his date of birth is 13th April, 2009. Is he eligible for 10th in 2023? He will get 14 years 2 months by that time. Will he be eligible to write the Board exams under CBSE Board's curriculum? |
