You must have passed (10+2) with atleast 50% with 4 year bachelor in elementary education
OR
- You must have passed (10+2) with atleast 50% with 4 year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed
OR
- You must have passed graduation with 2 year B.Ed course
OR
- You must have passed graduation with atleast 2 year diploma in elementary education.

SIR, PLEASE APPRISE THAT IS ANY PROVISION EXIST THERE FOR AGE RELAXATION FOR EX-SERVICEMEN FOR RECRUITMENT IN KV OR OTHER CENTRAL GOVT SCHOOLS. REGARDS

You need to do any Teacher Training Course from any institute to make yourself eligible to become a primary teacher. My sister also have done NPTT(Nursery Primary Teacher Training Course) and she had done that from Indoss. I am attaching link of website of that institute. May be it would be helpful for you.

To getting Primary Teacher Jobs in Government schools candidate must have these eligibilities:
1) Candidate must have a minimum qualification of any graduation course from a recognized university.
2) Candidate age must be above than 21 years.
3) Candidate must have appear in the TET (Teacher Eligibility Exam) first.

One wishes to become a Primary Teacher in government schools has to appear for Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the respective state Govt.

TET Entrance exam is divided into 2 papers. Paper 1 for Class 1 to 5 and paper 2 for class 6 to 8.

The eligibility criteria required to appear for this exam are as under :-

-The candidate must be an Indian .

-The educational qualification required for TET Entrance exam is graduation degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

Age limit for teachers in Government Schools :-

- For general category candidate ,it is 37 years .

- For OBC candidate , it is 40 years .

- For SC/ST candidates ,it is 42 years .

In order to apply for a teacher job in a Government school you need to possess following eligibility :

- Your educational qualification should be minimum Graduation/Post Graduation in any discipline from recognized university

- Along with the educational qualification you need to have a two years of certificate of teacher training like D.ED/B.ED/NTT/TTC or equivalent degree

- Your age should be minimum 21 years but not more than 40 years

- It is essential for every candidate who is interested in Government school needs to crack TET/CTET or equivalent exam with minimum 60% (55% in case of reserved category)

These are basic criteria that one has to have for getting call from the Government school for a teacher job.

For government primary teacher , You must have to qualify the entrance exam CTET which is conducted twice a year in the month of February & September.

Eligibility For CTET
- You must have passed (10+2) with atleast 50% with 4 year bachelor in elementary education
OR
- You must have passed (10+2) with atleast 50% with 4 year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed
OR
- You must have passed graduation with 2 year B.Ed course
OR
- You must have passed graduation with atleast 2 year diploma in elementary education.

Exam Pattern
Total Questions : 150
Total Marks : 150
- Child Development & Pedagology : 30 Marks
- Language I : 30 Marks
- Language II : 30 Marks
- Maths : 30 Marks
- Environmental Studies : 30 Marks

Tips For Preparation
- Collect all the study material properly before starting your preparation.
- Use only standard books & materials
- You should have thorough knowledge of pattern paper, accordingly start the studies.
- Set a daily timetable, divide your time equal for every subjects.
- Give more time on weak subjects.
- Revise each topic after completion of that & Make a note of important points from it.
- You can also join coaching for better preparation.
