Re: Possibility to do MA in English after BA in some other subject? No, you can't pursue MA in English if you have not done BA in English. Notably, for pursuing MA i.e. Masters of Arts in English, you should have completed BA in English from a recognized institute with at least 60% marks. Since, you have pursued simply BA without any specialization so you cannot pursue MA in English. Apart from MA, there is no such other Master's level course that offer specialization in English. |

You are eligible to pursueMA in English after BA in some other subject also but if you have studied English as one of the subjects in your graduation. Some of the very reputed Universities and institutes demand a minimum of 50% marks in graduation is qualifying criteria to secure admission in this course and conduct entrance examination to get admission to their MA in English degree course. Eligibility for M.A. in English: Students should have passed Graduation with English as one of the subjects from any of the recognised university or college of the country. So, if you have studied English as one of the subjects in your graduation then you are eligible. |

Possibility to do MA in English after BA in some other subject? Hi. I have done simple or General BA where I had several subject. Can I pursue Master's or MA in English hons.? Or, is it compulsory to do BA in English only? Is there any other Master's level courses available with specialization in English? |
