As per govt rule, for the PGT position candidate should have a master's degree(any discipline) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised university. B. Ed is also a compulsory requirement for this position.

Yes, it is mandatory to have bachelor or diploma in education qualification to become eligible to appear for PGT examination.

So, if you do not have the required qualification then you must pursue the course to become eligible to appear for PGT recruitment examination.

Examination is conducted by NTA for CTET while state education board conduct for the STET.

B.Ed is compulsory to apply for PGT (Postgraduate Teacher). You can't apply for PGT without B.Ed degree.

Eligibility for PGT
- You must have passed master's degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
- You must have qualification B.Ed or equivalent from a recognized university.
- You should have proficiency in teaching in hindi and english language.

Yes,B.ED is compulsory for the Post of PGT.

Eligibility:-

--Candidate must passed Degree/Master degree from a recognized board with minimum of 55% Mark's.

-- Candidate must passed B.ED/M.ED with at least 55% Mark's.

--Candidate age in between 21-42 year.

-- Age relaxation is also provided for the Reserved category.

Selection Process:-
--Written exam
-- Interview

Important dates:-
-- Online Application form:-Octover ,2019
--Laste date to apply :- 30 November,2019
-- Last date of Fee Submission:- Notify soon
--Admit card:- 10 day prior to exam date
--- Exam date:- May,2020
--Result:- Decemeber,2020

Is B.Ed compulsory for the post of PGT?

Hi, I have done M.Tech in Electrical Engineering. I haven't done B.Ed. Can I apply for PGT? Or, do I need to do B.Ed first? And, when is the entrance examination going to be conducted?
