I have completed diploma in Mechanical Engineering I have completed my diploma in Mechanical engineering, Currently i am working in international company since 2016 on basis of diploma. Please advise, how can i apply for IPS/IAS and what qualification is required? |

Re: Am I eligible for IAS/IPS entrance exam? I have completed diploma in Mechanical Engineering Minimum qualification required to appear for IAS/IPS exams is Graduation from a recognized university. IAS/IPS exams are conducted by UPSC every year. To become IAS officer you need to complete your studies i.e. after 10th complete 11th & 12th,then complete Graduation from a recognized university. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for IPS/IAS exams: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Number of Attempts: Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. How to apply: •Apply online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in •Apply offline by purchasing the application form from designated post offices throughout the country. Am I eligible for IAS/IPS entrance exam? I have completed diploma in Mechanical Engineering Dear Sir/Madam, I am Dhawal from surat & had completed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.Right now i am working as mechanical engineer in one prestigious company from last 4 year. M i elegible for IAS/IPS enterance exam, if not what should i do? Regards, Dhawal |
