The gap between 10 and 12 standard will not matter in JEE
Candidate must score at least 50% in physics, chemistry and mathematics
You will have to submit a gap certificate at the time of admission if your grades are good through the whole of IIT than it wont even effect your placement and your job opportunities

A large gap between 10th and 12th is acceptable in JEE 2016? Will it affect placement?

I have passed 10th in 2012 . And 12th in 2014 from cbse. But not selected in jee mains.
Next year I appeared in improvement xam of CBSE (2015) . this year I am selected for mains but having low rank .So in 2016 i want to appear in jee mains. But also want to appear in 12 from state board.but its maka a large gap between 10th and 12th. Does it acceptable? And it effects in placement latter? Can I also appear in jee advanced?
