Re: Can I join Indian Army after doing BSc Physics with 70%? ----You are eligible for Indian Army after completion of your graduation only. This exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year. This can be done through CDS(Combined Defence Service) examination. |

Full form of CDSE is Combined Defense Service Examination and you can give this exam for two times a year. Following are the academies you can enter on giving this exam:-
Indian Military Academy:-
Air Force Academy:-
Naval Academy:-
Officer's Training Academy:-
Exam Pattern:- For IMA, NA and AFA Academies the examination pattern includes three papers which needs to be completed in six hours. 300 marks have been allotted for the exam. CDS stands for Combined Defence Service. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission two times in a year. CDS-I CDS-II CDS has three wings: Indian Military Academy Indian Naval Indian Air force Eligibility: Candidate should be citizen of India. Candidate should complete the Graduation from recognized university. Percentage not required for this exam. Age Limit: Indian Military Academy: 19 to 24 years. Naval: 19 to 22 years. Indian Air force: 19 to 23 years. Gender: Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Female candidates are not eligible. Selection Process: Written Test Interview Medical Test All the best. |

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services Examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year Through CDS exam, you can take admission in:- Indian Military Academy Navel Academy Air force Academy Officer Training Academy Education : Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy : you must have completed your Degree in any stream with minimum percentage of marks from any recognized college or board. Indian Air Force : you must have Bachelor Degree in Engineering or B.Sc with Physics or Mathematics as your main subjects with minimum marks from any recognized university. Indian Naval Academy : you must have completed your Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Degree in Physics or Mathematics as your main subjects with minimum marks from any recognized university. AGE LIMIT;- Indian Military Academy: 19-24yrs. Naval Academy: 19-22yrs. Air Force Academy: 19-23yrs. Officers Training Academy: 19-25yrs. Scheme of Examination for CDS ;- Indian Military Academy / Naval Academy / Air Force Academy All the papers are of objective type. A graduation completed candidate can be eligible for Indian army through CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam. CDS exam conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university of india. No need of percentage restrictions to apply this exam. Make and Female both are eligible for CDS exam. You must be physically fit and you must be a citizen of India. Age criteria:- The age limits for Indian military academy are 19 to 24 years, The age limits for Indian naval academy are 19 to 22years, The age limits for Indian airforce academy are 19 to 23 years, The age limits for Officers Training academy are 19 to 25years. CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS. There is no percentage of marks required in Graduation to apply for CDS. The eligible candidate aspiring to join Indian Army(IMA) of CDS must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness. The CDS can be joined through on line only by paying requisite fee for the exam. The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.
