After B.Sc in Chemistry it is good choice to do M.Sc. in Petroleum technology in terms of career scope. You can try for Government jobs in Gas authority of India, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation etc., Also there are private organizations where you can apply for the jobs in Petrochemical Industries.

Other Courses like MSc in Organic Chemistry is very good option if you are interested in Pharma based career. Otherwise M.Sc in Physical and Material Chemistry and M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry are also good courses.

If you are interested to join M.Sc Petroleum Technology, I would suggest you to opt for the same.

Since you are having interest, you can easily understand the subject knowledge that further helps to gain good percentage of marks and to get good job opportunity.

Admission for this course will be given on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam.

Each and every University will conduct its own Entrance Exam to give admission for this course.

Have good preparation for the Entrance Exam and crack it.

If you are thinking of a different stream, then M.Sc Organic Chemistry is a good choice.

As, you have completed the bachelor degree in chemistry, so the best option will be to pursue chemistry as specialized subject for master degree.

Other than that, you can pursue other subject ( on the basis of your eligibility ) if you are interested in it.

What should be the best specialization for M.Sc after B.Sc Chemistry?

Is it better to get admission in M.Sc Petroleum Technology after completing my B.Sc with Chemistry? Or, any other options? Which Master's branch would be best for me?
