According to UGC norms, minimum eligibility criteria for assistant professor in a university/institue is that the Candidate must be Post graduated with 55% along with qualified UGC-NET examination. As you have completed your PG with more than 55% but you need to qualify UGC-NET exam in order to be eligible for teaching at degree level. PhD will add some extra advantage according to the scoring scheme defined by UGC. You can teach computer subject but I think you are more eligible for Electronics Department. |

Re: Minimum educational criteria to become Teacher at degree level? Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) is a title given to teachers who have completed their graduation and training. If you have done postgraduate course like M.A. and also completed B.Ed, then you become a post graduate teacher (PGT). |

Minimum educational criteria to become Teacher at degree level? Respected Sir, I have completed my Post Graduation in Andhra University (M.Sc - Electronics with 66.76%) in 2004-2006 batch. So, my questions was can I teach the computer subject at degree level? What are the required certificate or any specific courses? |
