Yes, a B.com student can apply for MCA but mathematics must be a compulsory subject in your 12th class.The eligibility criteria for the same is as under- 1. Candidate must have a pass in graduation with more than 60 percent marks. 2. These students must have studied Mathematics as a subject in class 10+2. 3. There is no age limit regarding the admission to this course. Students need to write an entrance exam as to get admission into the MCA course. |

Students who have finished their graduation in science can also apply. These students must have studied Mathematics as a subject in class 10+2. As MCA being a post graduation course,so you need a graduation for being eligible and B.Com is a graduation degree. Choose a university and study mode , then go for registration and admission procedure. |

Let me explain the eligibility condition for doing MCA in Anna University, a leading University in India. To get admitted to MCA you should have the following qualifications: A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination (a) 10+2+3/4 years pattern with Mathematics at +2 level (or) (b) 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern Further, it bars candidates who took lateral entry into the qualifying degree courses except BE/BTech. As such, you can see that BCom is not a bar for seeking admission to MCA. However, please check the conditions prevailing in the University where exactly you intend to apply. |
