The Important Subjects of IAS are as under: 1) Agriculture 2) Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science 3) Anthropology 4) Botany 5) Chemistry 6) Civil Engineering 7) Commerce and Accountancy 8) Economics 9) Electrical Engineering 10) Geography 11) Geology 12) Indian History 13) Law 14) Management 15) Mathematics 16) Mechanical Engineering 17) Medical Science 18) Physics 19) Public Administration 20) Sociology 21) Statistics 22) Zoology. Age relaxation is given below - 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates 3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates 10 years relaxation for PHC candidates 5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman List of IAS main optional subjects:- Agriculture, Management, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Mathematics, Anthropology, Mechanical Engineering, Botany,Medical Science, Chemistry, Philosophy, Civil Engineering, Physics,Commerce & Accountancy, Political, Science & International Relations, Economics, Psychology, Electrical Engineering , Public,Administration, Geography, Sociology, Geology, Statistics, Indian History, Zoology, Law. List of IAS main optional literature Subjects:- Arabic, Gujarati, Manipuri, Sanskrit, Assamese, Hindi, Nepali, Sindhi, Bengali, Kannada, Oriya, Tamil, Chinese, Kashmiri, Pali, Telugu, English, Konkani, Persian, Urdu, French, Marathi, Punjabi, German, Malayalam, Russian. From my point of view, the important subject are Anthropology and Geography for optional papers. |
