You are not eligible for GATE, due to u don,t have a computer back ground. If you have to write GATE , then you need Technical back ground. If your subject is computer's in your B.Sc, then you are eligible for GATE. Otherwise you are not eligible. All the best |

Re: Can I be eligible for GATE Exam having completed M.Sc in Physics? dear, eligibility for GATE exam , you should complete your graduation with engineering. because GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering. and It is conducted by IIT's. so, please first complete your graduation with engineering or pursuing engineering and give the GATE exam. |

To apply for this examination you have to complete your 4 Year Engineering degree course in Engineering/Technology/Architecture OR You have to complete your Master degree course in in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for GATE Examination. If you have completed your M.sc degree course then you are eligible for GATE examination. For this year GATE Examination was already completed and the results was also declared. If you have missed the chance to apply for GATE examination this year, then please apply for this examination next year. This examination consists of a single paper of 3 hours duration which contains 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of only objective questions. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer, except for the numerical answer type questions. Each GATE paper shall have a General Aptitude component carrying 15 marks. So, please prepared well for GATE Examination as per the pattern and syllabus and if you want to know more about this examination, then please visit the official website : http://gate.iitk.ac.in |
