You can choose these courses in Engineering branches instead of doing B.Tech- Other alternative courses available in engineering branches are- 1.Like in B.tech Aeronautical Engineering, the alternative course is B.Sc. Aeronautical Sciences. Likewise- 2.Mechanical Engineering-B.Sc. Applied Physics 3. Civil Engineering-B.Sc. Geology 4. Computer Science Engineering- BCA & B.Sc. Computer Science 5. Electrical Engineering- B.Sc. Applied Physics 6. Electronics and Communication Engineering- B.Sc. Electronic & B.Sc. Electronic Communication Science 7. Biotechnology Engineering-B.Sc. Biotechnology & B.Sc. Genetic Science and Chemistry 8. Chemical Engineering- B.Sc. Chemistry & B.Sc. Material Sciences 9. Petroleum Engineering- B.Sc. Applied Chemistry & B.Sc. Chemical Sciences 10. Re: Are there any alternative to BE/B.Tech or similar courses available in Engineering branch? There are numerous alternatives to B.E./B.Tech courses. I have listed some of them here. AMIE (Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers) This is offered by Institution of Engineers, Kolkata. After completing graduation from here, you can even apply for CAT, GATE, etc. Also, AMIE could be pursued in low budget (around 1 lakh). You can complete this course in minimum 2.5 years (max 6 years) B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) B.Sc. course is also a good alternative in which you will get following streams to complete course (like Aeronautical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geology, Computer Science, Electronics, Biotechnology, etc.) BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) BCA course can be pursued if you have interest in IT sector or wish to get job in IT field. Some more courses include media and journalism, hotel management, aviation sector, etc. |

Re: Are there any alternative to BE/B.Tech or similar courses available in Engineering branch? If you are not prepared for BE / Btech now. You can go for - 1.Polytechnic diploma course 3year. Or 2. ITI Course 2 year. Both are equivalent to 10+2. You will be junior engineer after successful completion of these courses. |

Are there any alternative to BE/B.Tech or similar courses available in Engineering branch? Hi Sir/Mam, I am an average student unknowingly I took PCMC subject combination in PUC and as a result I have scored less mark's. So, I don't prefer to do BE or B.Tech. Could you please tell me about any other alternative courses available in Engineering branches? |
