Re: How can I join police department after Polytechnic diploma in mechanical engineering To join in police department you need to fulfil few eligibility requirements which will be mentioned below. Eligibility criteria: - The candidate should have done their 10+2 or equivalent education in any stream with a fair percentage from any recognised board. - The minimum age limit required is 21 years and the upper age limit varies based on the post. - The height should be 165 Cms. There is relaxation for reserved candidates based on the government rules. - The weight should be proportional to height. - The chest should be 77 Cms when unexpanded and 82 Cms when expanded. There is relaxation for ST candidates based on the government rules. You need to attend entrance exam named IPS (Indian Police Service) exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). The notifications will be released in their official website: www.upsc.gov.in |
