Re: Is physical fitness required for ACIO post? ACIO stands for Assistant Central Intelligence Officers. The recruitment criteria for Intelligence Bureau are as under:- -The candidate should possess graduate or equivalent from a recognized university.Computer knowledge is also desirable. -The candidate age limit is from 18 years to 27 years.There are relaxations as per the Government rule. -The Selection Procedure consists of Written Test followed by Personal Interview . -The physical standards requirement to apply for the ACIO post are as under :- *Height: For male candidates:165 cm. For female candidates: 157 cm There is relaxation in height for candidates belonging to hill areas and tribals by 5 cm. *Weight : Corresponding to height. *Chest: 81 cm (fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm) Physical test: For male candidates: Walking: 1600 m in 15 minutes, Cycling: 8 Kms in 30 minutes. For female candidates: Walking : 01 Km in 15 minutes. Cycling : 05 Km in 30 minutes. Eyesight :distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes with or without wearing of glasses. The candidate must not have knock knees, flat foot, bow legs, varicose vein, squint in eye, any loss of part of body and they should posses high color vision for the post of Intelligence Officers. |
